Plain definitions of the words used in CRE Agents and these docs: Vic, connector, task, skill, catalog, Essentials, seat, department and more.

| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| **CRE Agents** | The product: a connector that makes your AI smart about commercial real estate. |
| **Vic** | The seasoned CRE pro inside CRE Agents. Vic teaches your AI how the work is done and hands it the data. Call on Vic with "Use Vic to". |
| **Your AI** | The AI you already use: Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and others. It does the work. |
| **Connector** | How CRE Agents plugs into your AI. Its name is `CRE Agents (Vic)`. |
| **Task** | One ready-to-run job, like abstracting a lease or scrubbing a pro forma. |
| **Skill** | A written method for one piece of CRE work. Tasks bring the skills they need. |
| **Data source** | Live market, property or location data a task pulls in while it runs. |
| **Catalog** | A set of tasks for one line of work, like Acquisitions or Development. You pick yours on **Task + Data**. |
| **Essentials** | Tasks everyone has, whatever catalogs they pick. Always on. |
| **Ask Vic** | The portal's quick way to get a doc, a task or a data file from Vic. See [Ask Vic](https://docs.creagents.com/portal/ask-vic.md). |
| **Workstream** | A stage of the job inside a catalog, like "Underwrite the basis". |
| **Private catalog** | A catalog CRE Agents builds for one firm. Only that firm sees it. |
| **Deliverable** | What a task produces: a spreadsheet, a memo, a dashboard. |
| **Portal** | The CRE Agents website at app.creagents.com, where you manage your account, catalogs and AIs. |
| **Seat** | One person's access to CRE Agents. |
| **Admin** | A seat that can manage the firm: people, departments, identity and plan. |
| **Member** | A seat that runs tasks and picks its own catalogs. |
| **Department** | A group of people with its own catalog menu, set by an admin. |
| **Menu** | The catalogs a department's people can pick from. |
| **Request** | A member asking for a catalog that isn't on their menu, or for another seat. |
| **Time saved** | The hours of manual work your finished tasks took off your plate, based on each task's benchmark. |
| **Credits** | The firm's shared monthly pool that tasks draw on when they pull live data. Only admins see it. |
| **MCP** | Model Context Protocol, the open standard AIs use to connect to tools like CRE Agents. |
